Another Pet Business Idea

Hi everyone,

If you have been reading this article, you know one thing very well. We have had a lot of pet-related business ideas in here.

Following the tradition, we have our monthly pet business idea today.

It is creating music for pets.

Now, before you laugh me out of the room, let me show you something cool.

Check out this website: https://www.musicforpets.co/

Yes, it is a real business with 1000s of subscribers, and this is a platform where you can play music for your cats / dogs.

It costs $4.99/month, and they make millions.

Now, that’s an idea in itself.

If you can create music for animals and sell for $1.99/month, you have a business there, but why stop there?

Before we go deep, let me show you what the industry looks like.

The search volume for the pet music industry makes no sense.

Every month, the numbers are increasing.

There are 100s of different variations (calm music for dogs, classical music for dogs, calm music for diabetic dogs, etc.)—the list goes on.

As there is enough search volume in the industry, I think you can go two ways about this.

No matter which direction you take, the first step will be the same, which is creating the actual music.

Step 1: Creating the calm music

I will either partner with a musician for this or use an AI tool like Suno AI to create the music. They have to be long; they have to actually calm the dogs and cats; and they have to be soothing to listen to.

This used to be the most complicated of the whole process—with AI, this is actually the easiest of the lot.

Step 2: You now have to decide whether you want to make it a blog and monetize with ads—or if you want to make it a subscription and charge people money.

I like the free angle because you get two things:

  • Easy subscribers
  • A lot of data

I am imagining a website where I can sign up, create a profile for my dog or cat, and then play music for them.

How will the website make money?

There will be ads, of course. And also, as you will have 100s of pet owners’s data, you can email market and do affiliate offers; you can sell your own cat/dog toys—the options are limitless.

Basically, the goal is to get them in the door using relaxing music and monetize them later with something else.

This strategy should work, but the straight-up subscription angle works too (as proven by the sample showed).

Cats/dogs are not going anywhere.

In fact, pet ownership is increasing worldwide, and people’s spending for their pets is also on the rise.

With Ai coming in the picture at the perfect time, this seems like too good of an opportunity to miss.

Think about it.
