How Crowdsourcing Images Can Help You Make $50k/Month

Hi everyone,

Hope you are well.

We have talked about different types of “blogs” a lot on our article.

We have talked about traditional blogs, indie blogs, and institutional blogs, and one thing was always common.

Blogs had written content; the content attracted customers, and then the customers were monetized either with ads or affiliate programs.

However, that’s not the only way to generate content.

Content can be more than just text, and sometimes it is even easier to produce when it is not “text.”.

Introducing: https://aviewfrommyseat.com

A View from My Seat is a website where you can go in and look at how your view will be when you go on a game, concert, or event in any stadium in the world.

Go on, have a look at the site.

They have millions of photos—taken from different seats of stadiums.

And that’s it.

That’s the whole website.

No written content, only images that are uploaded by users.

The website makes $50k/month just from ads. And they have no written content on the site.

This is a perfect example of how crowdsourcing and non-text content can help you with the blogging game.

This is not the first time I am seeing this; I have seen other examples where:

  • People created image blogs about action figures.
  • People created image blogs about board game scenarios.
  • People created image blogs about celebrity lives.

and so on.

What I am trying to get at is: don’t always think about a blog as “written content”; sometimes it can do well if it is an image-heavy blog.

And on top of that, content is not something that you will always have to produce.

In our example today, the website owners don’t produce content; the users do.

In a nutshell:

If you can find a blogging idea that’s image-heavy and where users will produce most of the content, you will have a unique angle that will win.

The question is, “What wil that topic be?

We will chat next time.

Thanks a Lot
